How to print extended binder art at 300 DPI
A standard trading-card pocket is 2.5 × 3.5 inches. At 300 DPI, each finished binder insert should be exactly 750 × 1050 pixels and printed at 100% scale.
The correct dimensions
DPI describes how densely the pixels are printed, not how large an image looks on a screen. Extend My Card prepares the finished files automatically, so there is no resolution or quality setting to choose before generating.
Print at actual size—not “fit to page”
- Download the ZIP containing the eight numbered PNG tiles.
- Open the files in a print application that lets you control scale.
- Select Actual Size or 100%.
- Turn off “Fit,” “Shrink oversized pages” and borderless enlargement.
- Measure one test tile before printing the full set.
Home and office printers often add margins. That is fine when individual tiles are placed on a larger US Letter or A4 sheet, as long as the artwork itself remains at 100% scale. If your software silently resizes the image, the panels may be too small or too large for the pockets.
Paper, trimming and sleeve fit
Matte photo paper gives rich color with less glare. Glossy photo paper can make saturated artwork pop, while lighter cardstock is easier to handle than ordinary copy paper. Check the maximum paper weight supported by your printer before choosing a heavy stock.
Use a sharp craft knife with a ruler or a paper trimmer for straight edges. Cut to the finished 2.5 × 3.5-inch size, then test one insert in a spare pocket. Binder brands vary slightly, and rounding the corners very lightly can help if a sleeve is tight. Never trim or modify the collectible card.
Put the eight tiles in order
The download names the surrounding inserts 1 through 8. Arrange them left-to-right and top-to-bottom, skipping the middle position for the physical card: tiles 1–3 across the top, tiles 4 and 5 beside the card, and tiles 6–8 across the bottom. This preserves the connected scene across the full page.
Poster mode uses the same true-size center
Poster mode exports one continuous 2250 × 3150-pixel image—7.5 × 10.5 inches at 300 DPI—with a 2.5 × 3.5-inch center opening for the card. It is designed for a mounted or framed display rather than separate binder pockets. Confirm the physical dimensions with your print provider before ordering specialty output.
